The Scientific Committee oversees the scientific programming of the Chair and ensures the strategic coherence of all research initiatives. Led by Fehmi Jaafar, it supervises the development of projects across four major research pillars: intelligent and autonomous security, proactive cyber‑fraud defense, the protection of AI models, and post‑quantum cyber‑resilience. As artificial intelligence, emerging threats, and increasingly complex critical infrastructures reshape the cybersecurity landscape, the committee guarantees the scientific rigor, relevance, and innovation of all research conducted. Its mission is to design next‑generation solutions that combine AI, advanced cryptography, and adaptive defense mechanisms, strengthening the robustness, confidentiality, and reliability of digital systems for industry partners and contributing to the digital sovereignty of Québec.
