The Cyberdefense Research Chair at UQAC Research Day

On Friday February 16, the CYBPRO Research Chair, specialized in the field of cyberdefense, shone brightly at the Salon de la Recherche at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC). At the heart of the event, the Chair offered visitors the chance to discover its latest technological advances and innovative projects.

The CYBPRO team, including master’s students Tom PIERRE and Enzo HOUMMADY, and doctoral students Abdul REHMAN ; Jules MARTIAL and the Director of the Research Chair, Professor Fehmi JAAFAR, set up a dedicated booth to capture the attention of attendees, offering interactive demonstrations and sharing their expertise in computer security. Live demonstrations gave visitors a better understanding of current cyber-defense issues and the solutions proposed by the Chair to deal with growing digital threats.

Building on this success, CYBPRO is already looking ahead to its next major event: the Cybereco Cyberconference, to be held on April 23, 24 and 25, 2024. This nationwide conference on cybersecurity will provide the Chair with an ideal forum to present its research and exchange views with experts in the field, industry professionals and political decision-makers.
